Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF
Federal court ruled the ATF's pre-approval registration scheme could no longer be legally sustained without the underlying tax mechanism.

ATF Ends Enforcement
The DOJ declined to appeal. The ATF formally ended suppressor NFA registration and Form 4 pre-approval nationwide. Suppressors now transfer via standard Form 4473 and NICS check.
