FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

THE BRAND

Hard work. Grit. Determination to get it done at all costs. These are some of the old western values we embody. Nowadays, our lives might not depend on harvesting that Rocky Mountain elk to put food on the table all winter. But we’re still building a brand that acts like it.

Kovix began with a shared vision to build a premium outdoor lifestyle brand, rooted in freedom and these hard-working values of the American West. We created the company we’d always wanted to exist: an elevated American outdoor lifestyle brand. Premium, no matter the price.

We always wanted to create something that combined elite performance, world-class customer experience, and unapologetic authenticity for our passions & freedoms. When the time was finally right, we didn’t wait for permission. We assembled the right team and brought the first idea to life in record-breaking speed.

From day one, we committed to “make” things the right way. The American way. From hard goods to our apparel products, we want our customers to know that everything bearing the Kovix brand is 100% American made. Always. It ain’t easy. But we believe it’s the right way to do things. Quality comes at a cost.

Our foundation is simple.

Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.

Kovix suppressors are engineered for serious backcountry hunters and precision shooters who demand performance without compromise. We use 100% titanium for superior strength-to-weight ratio, and our silencers are laser welded for unmatched durability and consistency. Every single product we produce is proudly made in the USA, and we're committed to creating awesome jobs for Americans. But most importantly, we exist to create an exceptional experience for our dealers and our customers - at every single interaction.

Kovix products are 100% designed and made in the USA.

Every Kovix suppressor is proudly manufactured and shipped from our Kovix-owned facility in Weyauwega, Wisconsin.

Our apparel is designed in-house and manufactured with various partners and factories throughout the USA.

You will never see a "Made in China" label on a Kovix product. Not now. Not ever.

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Our suppressors are rated for a wide range of cartridges. Max cartridge ratings and primary/secondary applications vary by model. Expand each model below for product-specific information and ratings.

Please check each product page for detailed caliber ratings and barrel length restrictions.

Caliber Designation: .22 CAL (Rimfire)

Max Cartridge: 22 WMR / 17 HMR

Application: .22 CAL and smaller. Ideal for 22 LR, but works great with the larger, magnum rimfire cartridges as well.

See Product Page for more information.

Caliber Designation: .22 CAL (Centerfire)

Max Cartridge: 22-250 REM

Primary Application: Ideal for large cartridges, often used in varmint hunting like 22-250 and 22MM CREEDMOOR.

Secondary Application: While not blow-back optimized, the T1-223-6 still works well with 223 REM / 5.56mm NATO rounds in gas or piston operated semi-automatic rifles.

See Product Page for more information.

Caliber Designation: .30 CAL

Max Cartridge: 300 RUM

Primary Application: Being shorter than the T1-300-8, the 6" version of our 30 CAL suppressor is ideal for smaller .30 CAL cartridges. While structurally rated for the 300 RUM, it is best suited for non-magnum short-action cartridges like 308 WIN, 6.5MM CREEDMOOR, and 6mm CREEDMOOR.

Secondary Application: If reduced length and weight is your goal, the T1-300-6 suppressor still works great with magnum cartridges like 300 WIN MAG, 300 PRC, and 6.5MM PRC. It just won't be as quiet as the 8" variant.

See Product Page for more information.

Caliber Designation: .30 CAL

Max Cartridge: 300 RUM

Primary Application: Being longer than the T1-300-6, the 8" version of our 30 CAL suppressor is ideal for larger .30 CAL cartridges. It is structurally rated for the 300 RUM, and is best suited for magnum long-action cartridges like 300 WIN MAG, 300 PRC, and 6.5MM PRC.

Secondary Application: If ultimate sound performance is your goal, the T1-300-8 suppressor works extremely well with non-magnum, short-action cartridges like 308 WIN, 6.5MM CREEDMOOR, and 6mm CREEDMOOR. It'll be quiet, but won't be as lightweight and compact as the 6" variant.

See Product Page for more information.

Yes. All of our centerfire suppressors are HUB-compatible (1.375x24 thread), making them adaptable to a wide range of mounting systems.

Each centerfire suppressor includes two direct-thread adapters (5/8x24 and 1/2x28).

Thanks to HUB compatibility, you can easily swap out the mount to suit your setup and individual preferences.

Our 100% titanium construction keeps weight to a minimum.

Please refer to Product Pages for specifications as they may change.

PRODUCT PERFORMANCE

Our centerfire models are built to withstand harsh conditions and high heat, but they are NOT rated for full-auto use.

The T1 Timberline suppressors were designed built for the backcountry, not belt-fed machine gun abuse. They're 100% titanium, which is an ablative material at high heat. As it gets hot, the baffles start to erode, making this material selection great for strength-to-weight performance, but less ideal for full-auto firing schedules.

This is a function of titanium reacting to the super heated gasses associated with centerfire rifles. Nothing to worry about.
