Kovix is one only a few suppressor brands that sell direct to consumer online. We do this to make the suppressor purchasing process as easy as possible for you.

After placing your online order, you'll receive an order confirmation from Kovix with a link to your order information.

When you order a suppressor from Kovix, you'll see a $200 Tax Stamp is auto-added to your cart. We don't want you to have a surprise when you walk into your dealer to submit your Form 4, so we make sure you're aware of the $200 tax stamp at the time of purchase.

For the remainder of 2025, Kovix is covering the cost of your Tax Stamp. We'll send the $200 to your dealer, so make sure you don't pay for it when submitting your Form 4.

If you select a dealer from the map during checkout, we'll have everything we need to process your order through an existing Kovix dealer.

If you provide information for a new dealer, we'll contact them to acquire the FFL/SOT information needed to transfer your suppressor.

If you don't have a preferred dealer in your area, rest easy! Kovix is happy to help find a dealer that's close by and will give you the best service possible.

Once we locate the best dealer for you, we'll reach out with their info so you'll know where to go to start the ATF transfer paperwork.

If you opt for our Direct-to-Door fulfillment via Capitol Armory, your suppressor will ship direct to your door without going through a local dealer.

This sounds cool, but don't be fooled. This process still requires the same ATF paperwork that would normally take place at your dealer's counter, it just happens digitally.

You'll be contacted by Capitol Armory with information about getting fingerprints and the other necessary information to submit your e-Form-4.

Before we're able to submit the ATF Form 3, we are required to have copies of the Federal Firearms License (FFL) and Special Occupation Tax (SOT) for your preferred dealer.

If you submitted information for a new dealer, or had Kovix help find a new dealer near you, we will have to acquire this information and set up the new dealer in our system.

While it sounds straightforward, this process is highly variable and dependent on external factors.

Please allow 1-5 business days.

Before we're able to ship a suppressor to your preferred dealer, a Form 3 transfer must be approved by the ATF.

Currently, this approval process generally takes 1-3 business days.

Once we've secured FFL/SOT paperwork and have an approved ATF Form 3, we are able to ship a suppressor to your preferred dealer.

Typical transit times:

• Midwest: 1-2 days
• Southwest: 3 days
• Southeast: 3 days
• East Coast: 3 days
• West Coast: 4-5 days

You can submit the ATF Form 4 as an individual or a trust.

The main benefit of submitting as a trust, is that you can add as many trustees as you want. These trustees are then able to possess suppressors owned by the trust.

If you submit as an individual, you and only you are allowed to possess the NFA controlled item - in this case, the suppressor.

To fill out and submit the ATF Form 4, you are required to have fingerprints and a passport photo.

Your local gun shop (FFL/SOT) will be able to help facilitate this process. If they have a SilencerShop kiosk, it will be even easier for you and for them.

ATF Form 4 approval times is another variable that's out of our control. These approvals are subject to the ATF's current processing times. 

But the industry is experiencing extremely fast approvals, which according to the ATF is "a new normal."

• Trust - 13 days
